Water Level In Yamuna Below Danger Mark

The water level of the Yamuna river was below the danger mark on Saturday morning. This comes a day after the Delhi administration issued a flood alert as the water level in the river breached the danger mark.

The water level at the Old Railway Bridge at 8 am was recorded at 205.01 metres.

On Friday, Haryana discharged more water into the river from the Hathnikund Barrage. The Delhi Police and the East Delhi district administration started evacuating the people who lived on the floodplains as the danger mark was breached.
