Three-day winter session of Uttarakhand Assembly began today amid strict COVID-19 protocols. MLAs are allowed entry with negative COVID-19 report and Section 144 has been imposed within 300 m of the Assembly building.

The State Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat himself is infected with coronavirus, due to which precautions are being taken. 

Meanwhile, the Congress has criticised the Govt for calling a three-day session, demanding an extension. The Congress party also caused a commotion on the first day of the session for not having Question Hour. The Congress said that it is very important to discuss many issues of the state and the government should respond to all the issues as it plans to surround the government on issues ranging from farmers' agitation, inflation, corruption.
