Bollywood actor Payal Ghosh, who was recently in limelight for levelling sexual assault allegation against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, joined the Republican Party of India (A) on Monday. She has been made the vice-chairman of the women's wing of RPI (A). Party president Ramdas Athawale was also present during the event.
Ramdas Athawale is the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in the Central Government. Payal Ghosh had recently accused film director Anurag Kashyap of rape, a charge refuted by the filmmaker.
