The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 92 seats in the Punjab election of 2022, making it the clear winner. The ruling Congress party can only win 18 assembly seats, while the Shiromani Akali Dal can only win four.
Since 1962, no party has won more than 90 seats in Punjab, hence the Aam Aadmi Party's triumph is unprecedented.
Bhagwant Mann, a member of the AAP, is set to become Punjab's new Chief Minister.
