The Uttar Pradesh Law Commission released the first drat of the Population Control Bill on Friday. The provisions of the bill excludes people who have more than two children from the benefits from government schemes and provides perks to the people who follow the policy.
Those who won’t follow this policy won’t be able to contest elections or apply for government jobs. This bill also limits the ration cards to four.
The government employees who follow the policy will receive incentives like two additional increments during their service, three per cent increase in Employee Provident Fund (EPF) under the National Pension Scheme, subsidized purchase of house or plot and also rebate on utility charges.
The people who are not government employees but follow the two-child policy would receive benefits such as rebates on electricity and water bills, house tax and home loans.
