The Central government should replace the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh or impose President's rule, says Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on the macabre Hathras incident and the overall law and order situation in the state.
"In the wake of the law and order situation in the state and the flood of crimes against women, the central government should replace Yogi Adityanath with some 'kaabil’ (capable) person and if this is not possible, president's rule should be imposed in the state," Mayawati said.
In the last 24 hours, rape incidents have been reported in Azamgarh, Bulandshahar, and Fatehpur. At the same time, in Balrampur district, an incident like Hathras has surfaced.
