India successfully tests fired the Brahmos missile off the coast of Odisa, Balasore on thursday, DRDO sources stated.
The new added technologies which included the control system, the missile was test-fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) launch pad-III at Chandipur, said sources at DRDO.

Defence sources also told news agency ANI that the missile was fully equipped with a whole set of new technological developments which were successfully proven.
The Ohillipnes recently became the first overseas customer of the Brahmos missile system. The Philippines Navy acquired 3 batteries of Brahmos anti-ship suspersonic cruise missiles for a cost of $375 million. This deal had been in the works since 2017.
