No Relief From Cold Wave In North India, IMD Predicts Light Rainfall In Delhi Today

Delhi, which is witnessing intense cold and dense fog, is unlikely to get relief from the cold anytime soon. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to be cold throughout the month of January. Temperatures recorded at Safdarjung and Palam in Delhi were 9 degrees and 9.7 degrees Celsius at 8.30 am respectively.

Today North India including the national capital Delhi is covered in a thick sheet of fog. Visibility in North India, especially in UP, was quite low. Visibility in Safdarjung and Palam in Delhi was around 500.

The temperature is expected to rise on January 19. There will be a western disturbance between January 24 and 26, due to which there will be some increase in temperature but after this, the cold will intensify again.

The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain today. It will be cloudy during this time.
