Pakistan PM: Afghanistan Headed For “Civil War” If Inclusive Govt. Not Allowed

Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, has stated that the Taliban’s refusal to form an inclusive government and disallowing women from education or power was making civil war inevitable in the country. Speaking to BBC, Khan said: "If they don't involve all the factions, sooner or later they will have a civil war. That would mean an unstable, chaotic Afghanistan and an ideal place for terrorists. That is a worry.''

Despite earlier promises, the Taliban did not include women or a diversity of political forces in the new “interim” government of 33 members. It has also asked for international engagement and financial assistance to rebuild Afghanistan (‘Islamic Emirate’), while simultaneously saying that no country has the right to ask it to form an inclusive government.
