Yogi Adityanath's Delhi Visit Today To Discuss New UP Cabinet With PM Modi

Following the BJP's massive win in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath travels to Delhi today to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the new cabinet in the state.

The meeting in Delhi will be attended by BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and party General Secretary BL Santosh, according to reports. During the meeting, the date of the swearing-in ceremony will also be considered.

According to media sources, the BJP is considering a number of additional cabinet members in addition to a new Deputy Chief Minister as the incumbent Mt Maurya lost his seat. On Sunday, state president Ratan Dev Singh, minister Sunil Bansal, and state in-charge Radha Mohan Singh are expected to arrive in Delhi.

As the BJP strives to accommodate every caste in its cabinet, it is thought that the BJP leadership has developed a basic list of probable deputy chief ministers and ministers based on merit, caste, and regional equations. The central leadership, however, will make the final choice on the list.

Swatantra Dev Singh, Baby Rani Maurya, Brijesh Pathak, and Keshav Prasad Maurya are among the candidates being considered for the position of Deputy Chief Minister. Swatantra Dev Singh served as the Transport Minister as well as the BJP's State President.

State leadership is reportedly considering inducting two former police officers, Rajeshwar Singh and Asim Arun, into the new cabinet.
