After the USA confirmed its 'diplomatic boycott' of the Beijing 2022 #Winter #OlympicGames being held in the Chinese capital city, Australian rime Minister Scott #Morrison also said that it would be following suit. It is also being speculate that #Japan and even #India may announce similar moves.

Canberra has said that its dcision comes in the wake of significant "differences" with China, including on 'foreign interference' and acquiring nuclear-powered submarines. On its part, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has stated that "no one cares" if "individual politicians" attend or not and the Games are all about the competing athletes. This boycott would not affect the success of the #Beijing 2022 Winter Games, it said.
