Russia Calls Out Ukraine, West For "Negative Role" During UNSC Meeting

During tday's UNSC emergency meeting on the Russia-Ukraine border crisis convened after Russian recognition of the independence Luhansk and Donetsk in the Donbass region which, the Russian representative said that Russia was never party to the Minsk Agreement and cannot be caled out for 'violating' it. He criticized Ukraine for suppressing the people in the eastern provinces, and forcing them out of their mother tongue Russian. He also said that the West has played an "extremely negative role" in the situation and is "whipping up panic" over 'alleged' Russian plans to invade Ukraine. He also said that in all other conflicts, there is direct dialogue between the parties involved but Ukraine seems to be an exception, pointing out the predominant role of the U.S.-led NATO in advocating for Ukraine's security and sovereignty.
