A government of radicals is now set to form in Afghanistan. The biggest threat from this remains on the rights of women. After the capture of Kabul, the Taliban is repeatedly talking that it will give women their rights, but a recent meeting of Taliban leaders makes it clear how much attention they will give to women's rights.

Afghanistan's acting education minister and Taliban leader Abdul Baqi Haqqani has claimed that women will be allowed to go to university. However, the Taliban has announced a ban on co-education i.e. boys and girls studying together. It has also been said that only female teachers will teach girl students.
