Two workers of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DFYI), the CPI (M) youth wing, were killed by a group of attackers in Venjarammoodu in Thiruvananthapuram district on Sunday night, police said. The incident took place at 11:30 pm on Sunday, in which two suspected Congress workers were detained. According to Thiruvananthapuram Police, the attack took place on Sunday night when both were going by motorcycle. Eyewitnesses say that the five attackers were armed with swords and knives and escaped after the incident
