India recorded 2.58 lakh new cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in the past 24 hours with 385 deaths. The positivity rate has reached 19.65%, up from the previously recorded 16.28% on Sunday. There are 8,209 cases of the Omicron variant detected as well.

1,51,740 people recovered with recovery rate being 94.72%.. Over 1.05 lakh (1,05,964) active cases were recorded since yesterday, and the total number of active cases are more than 16 lakh (16,56,341).
