After the annoncement today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the three controversial Farming Laws will be repealed in the upcoming winter session, here is a recap of Congress leader Deepinder Hooda saying that no jails are big enough for farmers. 

The protests over the far laws have continued over a year, and have intnsified ever since the Parliament passed them on September 2020. The infamous Lakhimpur Kheri incident when protesting farmers were run over by an SUV belonging to Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra Teni, is also connected to the farmers' protest.

On growing farmers' agitation against the Centre's farm laws, Congress leader Deepinder Singh Hooda said that farmers do not trust the Khattar or Modi govt and stressed that govt must immediately talk to farmers' unions and reach a consensus on the laws. Hooda also added that 'no jail is big enough in this country that can stop the farmers'. Ajay Jha reports
