Three more deaths occurred in Assam on Sunday, while seven people died in Bihar due to floods and landslides. According to the Assam Disaster Management Authority, 25 lakh people are still facing floods in 2,265 villages of 23 districts. The worst situation is in Goalpara where about 5 lakh people are still in the grip of floods. On the other hand, besides the Gandak and Bagmati river in Bihar, Ganga is also flowing near the danger mark. Floods have caused devastation in Champaran and Mithilanchal regions. About 1.5 million people are affected and the death toll has risen to about 25.
