As the Russia-Ukraine conflict enters day 13, a ceasefire was announced to enable evacuation of civilians and foreign students.

As per the MEA, all 694 Indian students have been evacuated from Sumy and are headed towards Poltova.

This comes days after many students were uploading videos nline saying that they did not receive help from the government to reach safety at the border of Ukraine, and Russia itself said that Ukraine was attempting to use civilians as 'human shields' and hindering their evacuation.
