Landslides Cut Off Contact With Two North Sikkim Villages, Air Force Comes To Rescue

Two villages have been completely cut off from the northeastern state of Sikkim due to heavy rains and landslides. Air Force helicopter MI-17 carried food to these two villages of North Sikkim, Sakyong and Pentong. According to the state government, 100 sacks of 50 quintals of rice each, have been sent to both villages. Apart from this, important items like 550 liters of cooking oil, 1.5 quintal salt, 100 packets candles, matches and medicines have also been delivered.
