All 48 COVID-19 patients who were referred for treatment in four private hospitals in UP’s capital Lucknow, died due to “gross” negligence of the hospitals. COVID patients were referred to four hospitals in the capital - 17 in Apollo, 10 in Mayo, 10 in Charak, and 11 in Chandan Hospital - but they were not looked after properly. Lucknow DM Abhishek Prakash has issued notices to all four hospitals and sought their reply. According to the notice, action will be taken against the hospitals under the Epidemic Act in case of negligence found during the probe on the part of the hospitals
