The Rajya Sabha on Sunday passed the two contentious farm Bills amid intense uproar by the Opposition. Calling what he saw today ‘more than the murder of democracy’, TMC MP Derek O'Brien said the Opposition wanted to send these Bills to Select Committee and the PA systems in the House were not working. He said: "They cheated. They broke every rule in parliament. It was a historic day. In the worst sense of the word. They cut RSTV feed so the country couldn't see. They censored RSTV.”
