The 74th anniversary of independence in the country is being celebrated with pomp, but even after 74 years, the period of terror has not stopped in the Kashmir Valley. A year has passed since the removal of Article 370, but the terror in the valley has not been controlled. Just before Independence Day, there were violent terrorist attacks in the Kashmir Valley in which security forces, civilians and many local leaders lost their lives. On Independence Day eve, militants attacked Naugam on the outskirts of Srinagar, in which two soldiers of Jammu and Kashmir Police were killed.
