Speaking to party workers in Sevagram, Wardha in a virtual meeting, Rahul Gandhi of the Congress partty said that "the adversary political organization has the “loudspeakers” and "machinery” to amplify their own discourse, something which the Congress lacks. Before 2014, training could be ‘optional’ for the party, but not anymore. But now, the ideological battle is ‘focused’ and it is the ‘most important fight’ in the India of today"

Gandhi further said that it is important to both understand and spread the Congress ideology, something that the party used to do but now does not. There were reasons for that which should be understood without blaming anyone. We need people in the hundreds who will propagate and understand the party ideology and apply it. They should "become" the ideology. The goal is to spread the ideology throughout India, and for this reason this training should be compulsory.
