42 coronavirus patients have gone missing in eastern UP’s Ghazipur district. In an investigation so far,  it has transpired that the mobile numbers of the absconding patients have either been entered incorrectly or the phones are switched off. Despite a manhunt for over 24 hours, missing persons remain untraceable . According to media reports, there have been several similar cases in eastern UP where patients’ mobile phones were turned off when their COVID-19 report came back positive. Before the Ghazipur incident, over 20 coronavirus patients escaped from a hospital in Chandauli district.
