PM Modi on Thursday laid the foundation stone and performed Bhoomi Pujan of the new Parliament building. The building is planned to be completed by 2022 on the 75th anniversary of independence. According to the Lok Sabha Speaker, the entire construction will be in 64,500 square meters, which is 17,000 square meters more than the existing building. All the 1,272 members of Parliament will be able to sit together during the joint sitting
