Amazon founder and one of the richest men in the world Jeff Bezos has promised to invest $2 billion in climate finance at the ongoing COP 26 summit. This amount will be invested through the Bezos Earth Fund. Bezos said that his main focus will be on improving agricultural land and improving food supply channels and processes.

He said that he realized the delicate balance of Nature and its value during his trip to ‘space’ (which astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson has more accurately termed as the upper atmosphere), and he also criticized those who were indulging in space trips and ‘exploration’ without solving the problems of Earth.
