The Cumbre Vieja volcano in Spanish Canary Islands erupted yesterday, spewing laval, ash, and toxic gasses and blanketing the residents with a blackness from the earth’s depths. 7,000 people have been evacuated, while 12,000 homes destroyed. Howver, there are no casualties.
