Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi posted this video to Twitter in which protesting ASHA workers can be seen being stopped and roughed up by lady police officers. They were blocking the road in Jalalabad, Shajahanpur where UP CM Yogi Adityanath was giving a public address and even attempted to go there.

Priyanka Gandhi has opposed the move, slammed the Yogi Govt and promised ₹10,000/month to ASHA workers if Congress is elected in the 2022 Assembly Elections. They wanted to block the फर्रुखाबाद-बरेली हाईवे Farrukhabad- Bareilly highway to stop the convoy of BJP ministers' cars. They were cleared from the road by female pesonnel of UP police.

Gandhi has said that she stands with the ASHA workers and this act of the police is not proper given that ASHA workers have given their all even during times of pandemic to serve society. She later posted a video with the caption that this act by the UP government was "shameful", and that "ASHA sisters had been beaten and stomped with boots" for bringing their demands to the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
