Akhilesh Yadav sad that the BJP is "destroying" the Uttar Pradesh while inducting new leaders into the Samajwadi party. He then said that the BJP is acting against the interests of labourers by weaking laws that protect their rights and livelihood. The laws and rules which should have been in the interests of labour are today oriented against them. The labourer is being exploited through the law itself.

Yadav targeted the BJP government by saying that while disregarding labourers' rights in favour of workshops and factories, the government is creating a climate wherein these sites themselves face closure which has cause unemployment for lakhs of labourers. He brought up the time of the lockdown when migrant labourers had to walk back on foot, and no arrangements were made for anyone.
