Omicron: 8 new patients in Delhi, Rajasthan; Total cases close to 50; 11 cured
Omicron's cases in India have risen to 49 on Tuesday. On Tuesday, four Omicron cases were confirmed in Delhi, while 1 patient in the capital has been cured of the new variant.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Tuesday, "Four new omicron cases have been detected taking the total number of cases to 6. Out of these, 1 patient has been discharged from the hospital."
On Monday, the fourth omicron has been found infected in Gujarat. A diamond trader who returned from South Africa was found infected in Surat. On Monday itself, the new variant was confirmed in two fully vaccinated people in Maharashtra.
Patients have been reported in Pune and Latur who have traveled to Dubai. So far 20 cases have been reported in the state.
