The number of mobile subscribers has been declining continuously for the last five months amidst the ongoing economic turmoil in the country, according to the latest data from the TRAI. As per statistics, in May 2020, the maximum loss of 47 lakh users was to Airtel and Vodafone. There has also been a significant reduction in the number of urban subscribers. The number of telecom users in the country has come down to 116.36 crores
