IISc, JNU And BHU Ranked Best Universities In India
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore has been ranked the best university among all higher education institutions across the country,
Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Varanasi’s Banaras Hindu University (BHU) have been placed second and third respectively.

However, IIT-Madras, IISc Bangalore and IIT-Delhi have been ranked as top three institutions in HRD Ministry's annual ranking. In the list of Arts and science colleges, Miranda House is the best college in the country, followed by Lady Shri Ram, Hindu College in the third position.
