COVID-19: Biggest Single-Day Spike In India, Cases Cross 46,000
As India went into the extended lockdown for the third time, the country recorded its biggest spike in coronavirus cases with 3,900 cases and 195 deaths over the past 24 hours. Total cases stand at 46,433 and death toll is at 1,568, according to the Tuesday morning Health Ministry's bulletin.
Last Tuesday, countrywide cases stood at 29,435 and death toll was 934. Within a week, 16,998 cases and 634 deaths were reported, pointing to a dangerous rise in the number of COVID-19 cases.
