COVID-19: Over 1 Lakh Cases In India, Death Toll A
India COVID-19 cases have crossed the one-lakh mark and death toll has climbed to 3,163 as 4,970 new cases and 134 deaths were registered over the last 24 hours, according to the Tuesday morning Health Ministry bulletin.

Total countrywide cases stand at 1,01,139 despite the lockdown in place for eight weeks.

Globally, about 4.9 million people have been infected by the coronavirus and over 320,000 people have died.

In the US, the deaths have crossed 91,000, after which US President Donald Trump has once again threatened to permanently freeze the US funding to the World Health Organization.

Trump said that if the WHO “does not commit to major substantive improvements within the next 30 days, I will make my temporary freeze of United States funding to the World Health Organization permanent and reconsider our membership in the organization.”
