Delhi's 'Very Poor' Air Quality Poses Health Risks
Days ahead of Diwali, the air quality in Delhi-NCR has turned poisonous, due to an increase in pollution.

Despite the Graded Response Action Plan’s implementation, Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi-NCR region crossed the 300 mark.

Delhi’s overall air quality has plunged to “very poor” category. On Friday, the AQI recorded at several places of Delhi-NCR crossed 300.

The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) has forecasted that the pollution levels will increase in the coming days if there is no major change in weather.

Delhi’s air pollution has also increased due to stubble burning activity in Haryana, Punjab, and nearby border regions.
