Gujarat Law Minister's Election Held Void On Groun
The Gujarat High Court has declared the election of state Law Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasama void on grounds of malpractice in 2017 Assembly polls. Chudasama is MLA from the Dholka assembly seat.

Chudasama had won the assembly elections of 2017 with a wafer-thin margin of just 327 votes and Congress candidate Ashwin Rathore had accused him of fraud.

Rathore had alleged that this election was won by resorting to malpractices during the counting of votes. He had challenged this victory in court and now, the High Court has found his allegations to be true.

Chudasama holds several important portfolios in the Gujarat government. Apart from being the Minister of Primary and Higher Education, he is also the Law Minister of the state.

He also holds charge of the Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry.

Chudasama has said that he will challenge this decision of the Gujarat High Court in the Supreme Court.
