India COVID-19 Cases Cross 29,000, Death Toll At 9
The number of coronavirus patients in the country is increasing rapidly. According to the latest data from the Health Ministry, 29,435 people have contracted the coronavirus so far and the death toll stands at 934.

The Ministry also informed that in the past 24 hours, 1,543 new cases have come to light and 62 people have died.


The number of patients in capital Delhi has crossed 3,000 and 54 people have died.

At the Max Hospital in Patparganj, 33 staff members, including two doctors, have tested positive for the coronavirus and they have been kept in an Isolation Ward.

Amid this, the Delhi government has permitted veterinarians, plumbers and electricians to resume work. In its order, the Delhi government has also allowed health workers, lab technicians and scientists to go to other states.

Meanwhile, after Uttar Pradesh (UP), now the Haryana government has also sealed all its borders with Delhi. 

A minister in the Haryana government had alleged that people living in Haryana who work in Delhi are coronavirus carriers and are bringing back the infection with them. 

Earlier, the UP government had sealed the Delhi-Noida and Delhi-Ghaziabad borders.

Amid this, the number of coronavirus patients keeps increasing in India and across the world.

According to the latest data from the Johns Hopkins University, the number of coronavirus patients across the world has crossed 30 lakh 64 thousand and over 2 lakh 11 thousand people have died from the disease.

The United States is the worst-affected, where more than 10 lakh people have contracted the coronavirus and the death toll has crossed 56,000.
