Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala has resigned from the post on the back of the party’s poor show in the assembly elections.

Latest trends show the BJP is ahead in 36 out of 90 seats, short of ten seats to secure a majority.

The Congress is leading in 34 seats and is said to be in talks with Dushyant Chautala’s JJP, which is leading in 10 seats.

Barala contested from Tohana assembly, where JJP’s Devender Singh Babli is leading from the seat.

It is also being said that Subhash Barala was upset with Home Minister Amit Shah who had rebuked him.

Seven Haryana ministers, including Ram Bilas Sharma, captain Abhimanyu, and State BJP chief Subhash Barala were trailing, as per Election Commission trends.

In Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena is ahead in 158 seats, 27 seats less compared to the last elections.
