COVID-19 State-Wise Data: Delhi Records Over 500 C
With record 5,609 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, India cases have risen to 1.12 lakh and the death toll is at 3,435. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Thursday, there are 63,624 active cases and 45,299 people have recovered.

At 1,390, the highest number of deaths in the country were reported in Maharashtra, where 39,297 cases have come to light and 10,318 people have recovered too. Tamil Nadu has become the second worst-affected state with 13,191 cases, 87 deaths and 5,882 recoveries, followed by Gujarat.


In Gujarat, 749 people have died so far, while 5,219 people have been discharged and the total number of patients is 12,537.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 267 deaths. The total number of patients here is 5,735 and 2,733 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 253 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,136 people have recovered here, 3,103 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 176 deaths. A total of 11,088 cases have been reported here and 5,192 patients have recovered. Delhi recorded over 500 new cases for the second consecutive day on Wednesday.

In Rajasthan, 147 people have lost their lives so far. While 3,404 people have recovered here, 6,015 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 127 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 5,175 cases have been reported and 3,066 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 53 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,602 and 1,640 patients have been discharged.

In Karnataka, 41 people have died, with 1,462 cases and 556 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 40 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,661 people have contracted the virus, 1,015 people have recovered.

There have been 38 deaths in Punjab. While 1,794 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 2,005.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 18 people have lost their lives so far. While 678 people have recovered, 1,390 people have contracted the illness.

Haryana has reported 14 deaths, 648 recoveries and 993 coronavirus cases.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 10, recoveries at 571 and cases at 1,674.

Odisha has registered 6 deaths, 307 recoveries and 1,052 cases.

There have been four deaths in Kerala and Assam. Total cases stand at 666 in Kerala and 170 in Assam, while 502 in Kerala and 48 in Assam have been discharged.

There have been three deaths each in Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. Total cases stand at 231 in Jharkhand, 202 in Chandigarh and 110 in Himachal Pradesh, whereas recoveries stand at 127, 57 and 54 respectively.

Besides, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya and Puducherry have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
