Despite Heavy Rain, AQI Remains Above 300 In Delhi-NCR
The weather has become much colder in Delhi-NCR due to the continuous heavy rainfall and hailstorm on Thursday night.
The heavy rain late night on Thursday affected flights as well and Air India diverted some of its flights.
However, there was not much change in the pollution levels in Delhi-NCR despite the heavy rain. Pollution levels continue to be in the hazardous category. The Air Quality Index on Friday is above 300 in Delhi-NCR. The Met Office has forecast more rain for Delhi-NCR on Friday as well. It has estimated that the weather will deteriorate in the coming days and it will become colder. The Met Office has forecast heavy snowfall and rains in the country’s northern states in the coming days. Meanwhile, it is snowing continuously in several districts in the hill states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Watch the full report here:
