Uttarakhand: Three Dead As Building Collapses In Dehradun After Incessant Rain
In the Chukkuwala area of Dehradun, three people died after a building collapsed last night, while three injured have been taken out of the rubble. Due to incessant rain, after the incident, all the agencies including NDRF have started relief and rescue operations. NDRF DG Satya Pradhan said that the relief operation is being run after the building collapsed in Chukkuwala is still ongoing.

Every year hundreds of people die due to the collapse of hundreds of raw and dilapidated houses during the rainy season. Last year, hundreds of people died due to thunderstorms in Uttar Pradesh during monsoon.
NDR teams are on alert in all states and relief operations are being carried out at various places. In the flood-hit Barpeta district of Assam, the NDRF conducted an all-night relief operation and evacuated more than 100 people.
