India COVID-19 Cases Cross 1.45 Lakh, Death Toll O
As India entered the global list of top ten most affected nations by COVID-19, cases show no signs of letting off. Coronavirus cases in India rise to 1.45 lakh with a death toll of over 4,000. Over the past 24 hours, 6,535 new cases and 146 deaths were reported across the country, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The huge spike in cases shows that the fourth phase of lockdown is proving to be the most deadly. An average of 6,000 new cases is being registered every day in Lockdown 4.0, while active cases have crossed 80,000.


US remains the top affected country by COVID-19 with most active cases, followed by Brazil, Russia and France.

India has surpassed Italy, Spain and Iran in the global list. Meanwhile, China has only 81 active cases.
