On The Rise Coronavirus Cases In India: State-Wise Data

The number of coronavirus cases has crossed 56,000 and the death toll stands at over 1,900. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Friday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 56,342 and there are 37,916 active cases now. 

While 1,886 people have lost their lives so far, 16,539 people have recovered as well.

The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 694, where 17,974 cases have come to light and 3,301 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 425 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 1,709 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 7,012.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 193 deaths. The total number of patients here is 3,252 and 1,231 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 151 people have lost their lives so far. While 364 people have recovered here, 1,548 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 97 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,596 people have recovered here, 3,427 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 66 deaths. A total of 5,980 cases have been reported here and 1,931 patients have recovered.

There have been 62 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 3,071 cases have been reported and 1,250 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 38 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,847 and 780 patients have been discharged.

In Tamil Nadu, 37 people have died. While 1,547 people have been discharged, 5,409 people are infected.

In Karnataka, 30 people have died, with 705 cases and 366 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 29 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,123 people have contracted the virus, 650 people have recovered.

There have been 28 deaths in Punjab. While 149 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,644.

In Jammu and Kashmir, nine people have lost their lives so far. While 335 people have recovered, 793 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

Haryana has reported seven deaths, 260 recoveries and 625 coronavirus cases.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 5, recoveries at 246 and cases at 550.

There have been four deaths in Kerala. Total cases stand at 503 in Kerala and 474 have been discharged.

In Jharkhand, three deaths have been reported with 132 cases and 41 recoveries.  

In Himachal Pradesh and Odisha, there have been two deaths in each state. Odisha has 219 cases and 62 recoveries, Himachal has 38 recoveries and 46 cases.

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Assam and Meghalaya.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
