Private Coaching Classes A Boon In Srinagar
Several months after the abrogation of Article 370, the situation has still not returned to normal in Jammu and Kashmir. Students have suffered losses in studies due to schools and colleges being shut and the brunt of the shutdown has been borne by students appearing for Board examinations.

When the situation improved a little, schools and colleges were once more shut during the winters, due to which students could not complete their syllabus and with examinations looming over them, they began worrying about their future.

Amid this, private coaching centres became the sole means of support for students; students could complete their studies there and save one year from going waste.

According to students, tension prevailed constantly in entire Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370, and schools and colleges had been shut down. Around 20-30% of the course was left incomplete in educational institutes. However, the situation has not completely returned to normal and schools are closed for winters even now.

With board examinations being around the corner, students are taking the help of private coaching institutes to complete their course as soon as possible. Students feel there is better schooling in private coaching institutes and they also make use of online classes and video notes for home study here, which helps a lot during examinations.

Lateef Masoodi, head of one such coaching centre, says that students were facing a lot of problems in studies after Article 370 was repealed. With schools being closed, private coaching institutes have become the sole support for students.

Evidently, private coaching classes have emerged as a ray of hope for students worried about their future in Kashmir.
