US President Donald Trump has once again offered to mediate on the issue of Kashmir with the consent of both Pakistan and India leaders.

Trump renewed his offer of arbitration between India and Pakistan during his meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Monday.

Trump said he is “ready, willing and able” to mediate in the Kashmir issue “if both (India and Pakistan) want it.” “It is a complex issue. It is being going on for a long time. But if both want it, I will be ready to do it,” he said.

“At any point of time, I would be an extremely good arbitrator,” he added.

After the US President's third offer to mediate on Kashmir, India said its position - that there can be no third party mediation - is known. The Foreign Ministry urged the media to "wait for tomorrow" when President Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi meet for talks.
