Petrol, Diesel Prices Rise For Eighth Day Straight
Petrol and diesel prices continued to rise for the eighth consecutive day today. The price of petrol was up by 22 paise per litre and that of diesel by 14 paise per litre in the national capital. With the rise, petrol is priced at Rs 74.13 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs 67.07 per litre in Delhi.
In Mumbai, the petrol price rose by 22 paise to Rs 79.79 a litre. The rate of diesel was increased by 15 paise to Rs 70.37 per litre.
On Monday, the price of petrol was up by 29 paise per litre and that of diesel by 19 paise per litre in the national capital. If the last eight days are taken into account, then the petrol price has gone up by ₹2.1 per litre and diesel price by Rs 1.64 a litre.
