Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s Swab Samples Sent For COVI
Swab samples of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his secretaries have been collected for COVID-19 testing.

On July 1, CM Nitish Kumar attended an oath ceremony where the Council’s Chairperson and BJP leader Awadhesh Narayan Singh, who attended the ceremony, found infected with the highly contagious Coronavirus.


In fact, new members of the Bihar Legislative Council were sworn in by CM Nitish Kumar.

After showing virus symptoms, BJP leader Avadhesh Narayan Singh sent his swab sample for testing and it returned positive on Saturday. Nitish Kumar was seated on the chair next to Avadhesh Narayan Singh at the ceremony.

In this swearing-in ceremony, apart from CM Nitish, Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Minister of Public Health Engineering Department Vinod Kumar Jha were also present.

Moreover, Bihar Legislative Council Reena Yadav, former MLA Abdul Bari Siddiqui and Bhola Yadav had attended the event, among others. According to the information, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and the staff of his Secretariat have also given their samples for coronavirus testing.
