Delivery staff mostly stays outside and comes into contact with several people. Given this, orders of online food delivery have seen a reduction.

The shocking thing is that delivery staff are arranging essential items like masks, gloves and sanitisers on their own.

Deepinder Goyal, founder of Zomato, posted a tweet saying that Zomato has begun contactless food delivery service, which is functional in more than 15 cities at present.

Swiggy has also released a statement for its customers saying that its delivery partners are being given training to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Swiggy has also said that if customers do not want to accept food from delivery staff, then it can be left at their doorsteps.
