She said that reports have been coming in of harassment of doctors from several parts of the country. This is very wrong because our civilisation and culture are not like this. We have to respect all of them.

She said, “I hope that during this coronavirus pandemic crisis, all of you will stay safe inside your homes. All of you would be following the lockdown completely. What can be more patriotic than doctors, sanitation workers, police personnel and government officials holding on during this crisis?”

Sonia Gandhi also praised ongoing efforts at a personal level. She said someone is providing food to people, while someone is distributing ration to the poor.

Every Indian is fulfilling their responsibility unitedly to win this fight against the coronavirus. Everyone deserves to be thanked.

She also said, “Today, when the country is fighting such a huge war, I assure you that whether we are in government or in the opposition, the Congress is standing with you everywhere in this fight. I believe that we will overcome this crisis soon with strong morale. All of you should stay at home….stay safe.”
