State-Wise Tracker Of Coronavirus Cases And Deaths

The number of coronavirus patients shows no signs of letting up. According to Health Ministry data at 8 a.m. on April 28, the total number of patients in the country has reached 29,435 and the number of active patients is 21,632. 

While 934 people have lost their lives so far, 6,868 people have recovered as well.

The highest number of deaths in the country (369) has taken place in Maharashtra, where 8,590 cases have been reported and 1,282 people have recovered as well.

In Gujarat, 162 people have died due to the coronavirus so far. While 394 people have been discharged, the total number of coronavirus patients here is 3,548.

There have been 110 deaths in Madhya Pradesh. The total number of patients here is 2,168 and 302 patients have been discharged as well.

In Delhi, 54 people have died. Over here, 3,108 cases have been reported and 877 patients have recovered.

In Rajasthan, 46 people have lost their lives so far. While 669 people have recovered here, the total number of coronavirus patients is 2,262.

There have been 31 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. A total of 1,955 cases have been reported here and 335 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 31 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,183 and 235 patients have been discharged.

In Telangana, 26 people have lost their lives so far. While 321 people have recovered here, a total of 1,004 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Tamil Nadu, there have been 24 deaths. While 1,937 cases have come to light here, 1,101 people have recovered as well.

In West Bengal, 20 people have lost their lives so far. While 109 people have recovered here, 697 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 20 deaths in Karnataka. Over here, 512 cases have been reported and 193 people have recovered as well.

In Punjab, there have been 18 deaths. While 71 people have recovered, the total number of patients here has reached 313.

In Jammu and Kashmir, seven people have lost their lives so far. While 164 people have recovered as well, 546 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

There have been four deaths in Kerala. While 355 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 481.

There have been three deaths each in Haryana and Jharkhand. In Haryana 296 and in Jharkhand 82 people have contracted the coronavirus. In Haryana 183 and in Jharkhand 13 patients have recovered so far.

In Bihar, there have been two deaths so far. While 345 cases have been reported here, 57 patients have been discharged as well.

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. 

The coronavirus has hit 33 states in the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
